Title Research: XXX State of the Union Movie

Based on the movie sequence shown for a minute and twenty-nine seconds, in total there was 20 titles. In the very beginning, it showed an inmate walking down a jailhouse accompanied by two police officers. Then, it shifts the focus from the main inmate to the scenery of the current establishment. As the opening comes to an end, the last image shown is of the White House to reinforce the idea that the next scene will take place at the state capital building. Overall, the opening sequence creates a feeling of action or suspense, specifically indicating that within the next couple of scenes something will occur. When it showed in the beginning the inmate and at the end the White House, those two short scenes indicates that the main character will play a significant role starting at the first location which is the state capital building. Throughout the opening sequence, the main connotation depicted by the images was that the movie will involve government interference along with the military. The images and scenes displayed was to guide the audience members on who will be involved within the movie. For the main portion of the opening, three bullets shot guides the audience members through the scenery of the beginning indicating that the movie will contain action with some mystery behind certain aspects. Additionally, by showing the logo of the government the opening allows audience members to understand that the following movie will contain government interference and military action.

The opening segment allowed for the audience members to raise questions as to who the inmate is, why is the inmate being placed in a cell, and what significance will be of the inmate. To appeal to the audience members, the opening sequence did start off using real actors, but then drifts off into showing an animated segment where the bullets guide the viewer's eyes throughout the next couple of scenes. By mixing the use of animation and real life, it calls the attention of audience members. Throughout the opening sequence, a mix of score and incidental music was played to indicate that the beginning of the scene will be fast and full of energy. By the end of the opening sequence, an establishing shot was presented when the White House came to view. The inclusion of the White House was to inform the audience members that the very next scene will take place within the capital building. In between the opening sequence, graphic match were used constantly to not only provide smooth transitions, but to establish the setting of the parts that was animated. The graphic match was used in parts that were animated and made it easier for the viewers to guide their eyes to follow through with the next scene.
